Gamma Gamma Omega, one of the marvelous 117 chapters of the Mid-Atlantic region, also provides guidance to the young ladies of the undergraduate Kappa Alpha Chapter at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.
March 31, 2007, marked 67 years of “service to all mankind” for Gamma Gamma Omega. Forty-eight dynamic ladies strong, the chapter boasts a rich history of involvement in the Asheville area. From tutoring to nutrition-on-wheels programs, Gamma Gamma Omega is committed to enriching its mountain community.
Our sorors come from all walks of life and distinction, embodying the full spirit of AKA. We respectfully salute our trailblazer sorors, who have seen many faces of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and who continue to shape our treasured organization. We are pleased that Gamma Gamma Omega is presently home to five golden sorors, seven silver sorors, and five life members.
Gamma Gamma Omega promotes a caring sisterhood – we respect ourselves, each other, and those around us. We are forever guided by these words from our beloved Ivy Hymn:
“So let my life like the Ivy be, A help to man and a wreath for Thee.”
