On May 12, 2007, Gamma Gamma Omega held a Community Health Fair. The Fair provided information concerning nutrition and diet by a Registered Dietitian and high-risk diseases that affects the community such as breast cancer, prostrate cancer, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease. Participants were able to register with the National Bone Marrow Registry, have medicine reviewed by a Clinical Pharmacist, and have a spinal examination by Greenspan Chiropratic. Participants were also asked to donate blood to the American Red Cross. Gamma Gamma Omega would like to thank American Red Cross, Asheville Buncombe Institute of Parity Achievement, Greenspan Chiropractic, National Bone Marrow Registry, Sherry Corn and Doris Walker, and Soror Kenesha Smith, Pharm.D for their participation in the health fair.
